Theodore Robert Bundy was an American serial killer who embarked on a notorious spree of kidnappings, rapes, and murders. He targeted women and girls during the 1970s and possibly earlier. Women were left in fear for their safety until he was finally captured. After more than a decade of denials, Bundy confessed to 30 homicides, committed across the United States between 1974 and 1978. His true victim total is unknown. Once behind bars, Bundy went on to escape from custody, not once, but twice.
